Entryway/Hallway

The Entryway, in combination with the Dining Room, will be one of the first two rooms in our home we'd like to decorate. Currently, nothing in the the Entryway must stay in the Entryway except for the light fixture.

Note: The three front rooms (entryway, living room and dining room) are very open and flow into each other so we would like the design of each of these rooms to flow together accordingly.

The next two photos are of the Hallway looking from the Entryway towards the Family Room. In the top photo, the doors you see from left to right are the door to the garage and the door for the coat clost. In the bottom photo, the doors you see from left to right are the door for the half bath and the door to the unstair closet.

Current Light Fixture

Murray Feiss chandelier that is to stay.

Current Furnishings

Below are pictures and measurements of furniture that is currently in the entryway. These pieces can either remain as part of the entryway design or be moved to another area. We are planning to temporarily move the console table into the Family Room behind the sofa, but it can be used as part of the entryway design if need be.

Round Table - Measurements: Diameter 40" x H31 1/2".

Asian Bird Cabinet - Measurements: W38 1/2" x D15" x H60 1/2.

Console Table - Measurements: W48 1/4" x D13 1/2 x H29.

Original Design Direction

The picture below was our original design direction for this room. We loved the colorful velvet chairs.

We came across these chairs on craiglist and bought them. They are sturdy and in decent shape, but do have a little damage on the legs from a hungry dog. Our thoughts were to reupholster and paint the chairs for use in the entry way, however, they can certainly be used in another location as well.

Chairs - Measurements: W28 x D30 x H33.
